Program Summary:

Please join American Society for Training and Development,  Palm Beach GIG for dinner, networking and a presentation on Best Practices in E-learning to Enhance Participation!  Meet Dr. Art Johnson, a Professor of Leadership and Organizational Development at Palm Beach Atlantic University. The speaker will discuss best practices in e-learning and demonstrate ways to enhance participant engagement in the virtual learning environment. The program will show how to improve transfer of learning to real world applications. Participants will have an opportunity to learn the important roles that trainers, learners, and supervisors have in learner engagement and retention. Dr. Art Johnson will provide an opportunity to experience examples on how to increase the relevancy of e-learning for a learner. 


Speaker: 

Dr. Art Johnson has over 20 years of academia experience as a university professor of adult learners. He has a doctorate in Leadership with a specialty in Adult Learning from  University of Florida and master’s in Counseling from Indiana University.  His experience includes being one of three lead trainers in an organization of over 8000 people. He is president of  his own consulting firm specializing in needs assessment research, organizational change initiatives, organizational development, human resource development, performance improvement initiatives, training, and executive coaching. His firm delivers training programs in the areas of leadership and management development, executive coaching, team building, communication, supervision, organizational change, motivation, coaching, understanding organizations as systems, 360 degree feedback, and various workshops using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). He is qualified in the use and interpretation of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). He is also a member of the OD Network. He is a life member of Phi Kappa Phi.
