Using Big Data to Measure the Impact of Strategic, Visible, and Costly Talent Programs
Did you know that according to a recent ROI Institute study, 92 out of 96 Fortune 500 CEOs said that they are most interested in learning the business impact of their strategic learning and development initiatives, but only 8% see that happening at their companies now? This session will begin with Danny defining Big Data and its role in Talent Development. He will share why measuring critical programs like leadership development, sales training and onboarding are vital to program managers.
Then Danny will go through the major elements of a measurement plan to successfully and comprehensively generate quantitative and qualitative metrics in a timely and practical manner with limited resources. Examples of tools such as a key performance indicator matrix, a communication plan, sample smart sheet evaluations and sample reports, including dashboards, will be shared. Finally, plan to bring examples of your own measurement programs, instruments, and reports as Danny will talk through best practices and provide his insights. This session will:

Danny Brown, Director, Solutions Engineering for KnowledgeAdvisors
Danny Brown has over 20 years of private, public, government, and non-profit workplace learning and performance experience. He has led global metrics and KPI initiatives, designed measurement instruments for new hire to sales to customer service learning programs, and was co-lead on the merger team for the Sprint Nextel merger committed to the measurement and transfer of learning.
In his current role he is responsible for solution demonstrations, architecture, and sales support for the Metrics that Matter® cloud computing Talent Analytics technology. He has presented at ASTD, both international and local conferences, SkillSoft Perspectives and contributed to book and magazine articles, which includes T&D by ASTD and Kirkpatrick Partners: Transferring Learning to Behavior.
He is extremely passionate about his work around demonstrating HR’s contribution to creating a highly productive workforce through measurement and evaluation.
