From lnstructional Designer to Digital Learning Professional
The requirement for organisations to address reskilling at scale and at speed has increased the demand for alternative delivery modes such as cohort-based learning, immersive learning and hyflex learning. This interactive session will examine the transition from Instructional design to digital learning design. It will take a practical look at emerging skills in the profession and explore the following questions:

John Kilroy is Founder of the Digital Learning Institute (DLI), a global leader in digital learning education and certification. Their mission is to improve the quality of online learning design by helping organizations build their internal capability in digital learning. Prior to founding DLI, John worked as a digital learning consultant for over 20 years. During this time, he advised some of the world’s leading companies on their digital learning strategy, content development and learning technology considerations. These organizations include Boston Scientific, Pfizer. Amazon, Accenture, Deloitte and L ’Oriel. Through DLI, John has been driving the standard in the use of technology to support personalized and adaptive learning. Since the acceleration in the use of generative AI, John has been working with a wide range of organizations to help them build their understanding on the application of AI.
The ATD South Florida Chapter has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute to offer educational programs that can be used towards initial eligibility and recertification of Certified Professionals in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials. This program qualifies for a maximum of 1 point.
