Mobile Learning with Dave Asheim

Everyone is talking about mobile, but knowing what it means or where to start is a different story!
   
Join Dave Asheim, Founder of Train by Cell, and one of clients here in the area, Marioly Perez from Southern Wine and Spirits, as they help sort out the mobile landscape and offer ideas on what you can do to give mobile a try.  
 
Train by Cell has been providing mobile services to enterprises for over four years, and Southern Wine was one of its first clients. It is one of the leading providers in the world.  
 
Dave speaks on the topic of enterprise mobiles use throughout the country, and has presented at many ATD Chapters across the U.S.  
 
This discussion will not be a sales pitch for particular products or services – guaranteed! Marioly and Dave will discuss the mobile landscape and answer questions such as these:  
  • Issues surrounding using a personal phone on company time for business
  • How keep your content secure from prying eyes
  • Apps versus mobile web sites – what to use?
  • Is text messaging a viable option to communicate and engage with employees?
  • Can you port your existing content into a mobile platform, or does it all have to be rewritten (and if so, who is going to do this work!)

After this review is completed, we will break into groups and design mobile experiences on the spot that will be shared at the end of the evening with the entire group.

 
So bring your questions, your ideas and of course your mobile devices for a hands-on birds eye view of the fast changing world of mobile use for training and learning.  
About the Presenters: Dave Asheim and Marioly Perez
 
David Asheim is president/CEO/founder of Train by Cell, the leading provider of mobile content delivery platforms to organizations and corporations worldwide. Dave is widely regarded as an industry expert in the use of mobile solutions for immediate connectivity and interaction between organizations and their target audiences.
 
 
Marioly Perez is a Talent Development Manager for Coastal Wine and Spirits of Florida, a division of Southern Wine and Spirits of America, represented in 38 states.  Marioly is a dedicated 15 year employee, well recognized within the industry for building supplier partner relationships, employee engagement and career development. Prior to her journey at Southern Wine and Spirits she worked with the international world of Trade Marketing.
 
Marioly transitioned into the Wine and Spirts Industry in 1997, she started her journey in the Operations and Logistics team. With passion, dedication and professional skill set she obtained her Court of Master Sommelier Intro Certification, this opened great doors of opportunities for her. Marioly’s drive continued as she was promoted to the Trade Marketing Team followed by the Talent Management Department, where she has been for the past 7 years.
