In this session, you'll uncover some of the best PowerPoint features for saving time, enhancing your look, and engaging your audience. Whether you are making presentations in management meetings, teaching in the classroom, or creating e-learning, this session will help you take your designs to the next level. You'll move past flying bullets in from the left and right, which was the height of PowerPoint fashion... in 1997! Instead, you'll learn to create graphics, animations, presentations, and courses that people won't believe you did in PowerPoint.

You’ll examine a sample project with “before” and “after” slides that transformed from text bullets to the instructional animations that led to an award-winning course. You’ll learn to turn some of the specific design techniques used in that transformation into techniques you can use yourself, even if you aren’t a graphic artist.

Diane Elkins is the co-owner of E-Learning Uncovered, which provides training and resources to e-learning developers, and Artisan E-Learning, a custom e-learning development company specializing in Articulate Studio, Storyline, Lectora, and Captivate. She has built a reputation as a national e-learning expert by being a frequent speaker at major industry events such as ATD ICE, ATD TechKnowledge, DevLearn, and Learning Solutions. She is also the co-author of the popular E-Learning Uncovered book series as well as E-Learning Fundamentals: A Practical Guide from ATD Press. She is a past board member of the Northeast Florida and Metro DC chapters of ATD.
