The Whys, Whats, and How 


We’re hearing a lot more about learning science these days, which is a good thing, but why? Further, what does it mean? In this session we’re going to explore the why you should care, what learning science is, and how it’s done. We’ll also explore a bit of cognitive science that explains how we think and learn.   

Talent Development professionals will have an opportunity to explore practical implications of learning science to training design and delivery. The session will include an overview of how learning science is being advanced and how professional can capitalize on the most recent research in daily application.

Our Presenter: Clark Quinn, PhD.


Clark Quinn, Ph.D. provides learning experience design strategy to corporations, higher education, government, and not-for-profit organization. An award-winning consultant, internationally known speaker, and author of six books, he integrates a deep understanding of learning and technology to improve organizational execution, innovation, and ultimately performance. This event has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute for continuing education credits towards professional development hours for initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional  in Talent Development (APTD) credentials for a maximum of one (1) credit point for  one (1) hour of instruction points.
