    What is the AI Workgroup?

The AI Workgroup is at its core, a community of Talent Development Professionals and Students that are exploring the opportunites presented by AI to increase the effectiveness of the learning experiences created while reducing the total time required create and the lead time before learning.

The panelists for our monthly "Gatherings" are practicitioners who as early adopters have been working with a variety of AI tools and are eager to share their experiences. The Gatherings are discussions rather than presentations and will always have a hands-on prractice component and an optional networking period.Topics for our Gatherings are chosen based on Feedback from our Surveys.

The AI Workgroup is the very first program offered by ATD South Florida where the majority of the associated resources are available asynchronously, that is, available online, all the time. This Discussion Forum is the Key to much of this content and is the ONLY resource that will always be available to everyone. Most of the other resources will be generally restricted to ATDSFL Members. Eveyone is free to post questions, share ideas, and provide feedback.

Other Resources available will include AI-Enhanced Recordings of Previous Sessions and samples of Use Cases generated by the community and curated by the AI Workgroup Leadership.

Looking forward to Learning with You!.

Have you folks encountered an AI Hallucination? A few months back I was researching an ancestor of mine that served in Cuba's first cabinet. There had been some recent research and I used ChatGPT ro learn more about his role. The response was a mix of items that I already knew with items that were patently untrue and had to of been drawn from a mistaken identity. When I went back a few minutes later to show my brother I used the same prompt and the hallucination had evaporated. Has anyone had a similar experience?

George that is interesting. My understanding of the AI system is that you can pose the same question and receive different responses. It is possible to do a couple of things to prevent inaccurate answers. One way is to give the directions to the AI to only share accurate information. The second is to ask for the reference. The reference allows you to open up the website that AI is pulling the information from and read it yourself to make sure it says what the AI is accurate.

A few months back, I was reading a student paper that had cited a paper which seemed to be very interesting to me. I spent easily an hour looking for the paper when I realized that the student had used AI to write the section and the journal was not real. So, AI will create viewpoints that you want to hear!
